Abstract

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde ein elektrochemisches Raster-Sonden-Mikroskop dazu benutzt, gezielt Nanostrukturen herzustellen und zu charakterisieren. Das elektrochemische Umfeld bietet gegenüber den sonst angewandten Techniken den Vorteil, dass die Über- und Untersättigung an den beiden Arbeitselektroden frei eingestellt werden kann. Diese Methode erlaubt es lokal Nanostrukturen definierter Größe herzustellen. Mittels einer selbst aufgebauten UHV-Apparatur konnten Präparationstechniken zur reproduzierbaren Herstellung von geometrisch hoch definierten STM-Spitzen für nahezu jedes Metall entwickelt werden. Derart qualitativ hochwertige STM-Spitzen ermöglichten erstmals einen Strommessbereich von 10-6 bis10-12 Ampere abzudecken.Die entwickelten Instrumente konnten zur Untersuchung der Systeme Co bzw. Ni auf Au(111)-Substraten eingesetzt werden. Das Verfahren zur Erzeugung magnetischer Nanostrukturen wurde optimiert und erste spektroskopische Messungen an der Fest-/ Flüssiggrenzfläche konnten durchgeführt werden.

Abstract

This work is a comprehensive analysis of the decal process for production of catalyst coated membranes. Both the process window for the transfer of electrodes from decal foil onto membrane and the effects of the parameters of ink and transfer process on structure and function including process reproducibility shall be investigated. A major component of all those aspects is the selection, implementation and assessment of appropriate characterization methods.

Abstract

"The need for an immediate, transparent and sustainable dissemination of current research has become a prerequisite for the further development of science today. Making research results freely available online as Open Access is considered to achieve the widest possible dissemination worldwide. Everyone can access anywhere Open Access publications without any restrictions or paywalls. Meanwhile more and more academic institutions and universities have already started their own presses to publish books Open Access. In the present manual a sustainable and ideal workflow for producing and publishing academic books is presented. That workflow enables universities to publish their publications both as Open Access and printed books in a state-of-theart way and without any restrictions regarding the license, the variety of formats, print run etc. As proof of concepts we have processed different use cases which demonstrates the current status of the technically and economically possibilities in the publishing sector. Furthermore, data on time, costs and personnel resources were determined, which can be used by other universities and academic institutions to indicate the necessary investments for founding and operation of their own Open Access university presses."
