Abstract

"Saggi" brings together the results of the research activity carried out on the PhD course in English and American Studies (Department of Modern Philology, University of Florence). The contributions relate to the theatre, narrative, poetry, autobiographical writing and correspondence, and range from the Renaissance up to the present day. The heterogeneity of the material illustrates the free choice of the young academics who, in the climate of collaboration that was established, decided to address the technical and editorial aspects of the book as a team in the open access editorial workshop of the Department.

Abstract

"Testo. Dialogo. Traduzione. Per una analisi del tedesco tra codici e varietà" applies the terminology and methods of various subfields addressing textual analysis in German, namely textual linguistics, semiotics, pragmatics, speech linguistics and linguistic psychology, which are brought together in this study to attempt to develop, along with the specific research, a methodology for the science of the text in its general characteristics. Some translations of the nineteenth-century humorist Wilhelm Busch, the Italian version of a key test of the Bauhaus and the transcription of the TV electoral duel of 2005 between Angela Merkel and Helmut Schröder illustrate the broad chronological and typological spectrum of the investigation.

Abstract

The first volume of the Bibliografia Ladina covers the entire Ladin Literature from the beginnings up to 1945. A total of 1072 entries, including manuscripts and parts of text, is ordered by authors and contains additional information regarding the date of their origin, the place and date of publication, the publication history, the idiom as well as the digital availability of the individual texts. Several indices (e.g. of the incipits) are included. Thus, this bibliography can either be used as a supplement to the first volume of the Geschichte der ladinischen Literatur (The History of Ladin Literature – Scripta Ladina Brixinensia III/1) or as an independent research tool.

Abstract

This bibliographic documentation follows the two comprehensive bibliographies on the Rhaeto-Romance language, the Rätoromanische Bibliographie (Maria Iliescu / Heidi Siller-Runggaldier) and the Rätoromanische Bibliographie 1985-1997 (Heidi Siller-Runggaldier / Paul Videsott). All data contained in these works have been integrated in this bibliography and updated until 2010. The nearly 5000 entries that cover a period from 1729 to 2010 are newly arranged according to subject areas and chronologically increasing publication dates. Consequently, this bibliography becomes a sort of “reading book of the history of science" representing the state of the art of international Rhaeto-Romance studies.
