Philosophers and rappers jointly explore in discussions, texts, songs, comments and spontaneous associations what philosophy of hip-hop means, the focus being on living philosophyzing. Philosophyzing in the sense of hip-hop requires getting personally involved. What is dreaded is not amateurism but copying the thoughts of others. In the confrontation with the thoughts of others, your own thoughts flash through your head. Authenticity, respectively realness and creativity: These are the ethical values of hip-hop. The philosophy of hip-hop does not mean talking philosophy but doing philosophy – namely when facing the challenges of modern life. The philosophy of hip-hop means performing what's happening.

Until now, the category of `culture' functioned as a central category of difference and explanation for reduced ability of the support system to reach families at the intersections of migration and disability. The barriers are alleged to be located above all within the family. Their culturally specific interpretation of disability, according to this assumption, does not correspond to the expectations of empowerment in disability services. To confront this one-dimensional perspective, Donja Amirpur illustrates the complex life situations of these families. Through interviews and with the help of an intersectional, multi-faceted analysis, she depicts the barriers in the support system, and promotes a critical confrontation with hegemonic practices on a structural level.

In childhood and youth, an engagement with aesthetic modes of representation and perception is of great importance. The significance of aesthetic positionings – for instance through the choice of clothing or accessories, through make-up or gadgets – can on the one hand be interpreted as signs of a successful commercialization of childhood and youth. On the other hand, however, they testify to the savvy with which children and teenagers make their daily world their own and develop their design aesthetics. In order to consider the related social conditions of aesthetics, economies, and inter-generational relationships, this transdisciplinary volume brings together a range of research perspectives on everyday aesthetics in childhood and youth.
