Abstract

An important requirement for the combination of two materials in order to get a low stress and low warpage, crack-free composite component is a timely synchronized sintering behavior of both components. The aim of this work was to analyze the effect of the particle size distribution on the sintering behavior and the resulting consequences of the particle size change for the flow properties during injection molding.

Abstract

In terms of general lighting applications, this work deals with the use of natural models for the heat dissipation of LEDs, their implementation into a complete LED system and ultimately its manufacturing. The result is a lighting system that represents a high technical performance in conjunction with a high aesthetic value that can be an example for the development of different LED systems.

Abstract

The increasing demand for powerful, reliable, and efficient gyrotron oscillators for Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH) in fusion plasma experiments requires a close look at the various factors in gyrotrons that determine gyrotron performance. In this frame, the influence of emitter surface roughness, emission inhomogeneity, and secondary electron generation on gyrotron operation is presented, with focus on Low Frequency Oscillations (LFOs) and Electron Beam Halo (EBH) generation.

Abstract

In this work, printable organic tandem light emitting diodes for future cost-efficient, long-time stable and white light emitting devices are presented. The key to such multilayer devices is to develop charge carrier injection layers based on metal-oxides like WO3, MoO3, V2O5 and modified ZnO, which can be applied from precursors. Furthermore, these precursor-based approach enables the fabrication of OLED with inverted architecture as well as transparent light emitting diodes.
