Abstract

In software development, project constraints lead to customer-specific variants by copying and adapting the product. During this process, modifications are scattered all over the code. Although this is flexible and efficient in the short term, a Software Product Line (SPL) offers better results in the long term, regarding cost reduction, time-to-market, and quality attributes. This book presents a novel approach named SPLevo, which consolidates customized product copies into an SPL.

Abstract

In this work a new understanding of built-up edge formation was developed by applying new methods. For the first time built-up edge formation was examined in-situ in a relevant cutting parameter range by radiographic and optical methods with high temporal resolution. Additionally sophisticated analytical techniques were applied for the ex-situ examination of the microstructure in the built-up edge. A correlation between built-up edge formation and tool wear was deduced.

Abstract

Conversion-type electrodes are promising electrode materials for future lithium ion batteries since they exhibit high specific capacities compared to intercalation-type eclectrodes. In this work, a thermodynamic approach was used to elucidate the electrochemical behavior of conversion-type electrodes using Li-Cu-O and Li-Fe-O as model material systems. electrochemical properties can be calculated using self-sonstistent thermodynamic descriptions developed in this work.
