Abstract

A inclusão escolar de alunos com deficiência impõe-se como tema a ser pesquisado para propor práticas adequadas à nova realidade educacional. Alunos com deficiência visual, por exemplo, começaram a frequentar espaços sociais como a escola sem que antigos paradigmas de normalização de comportamentos tenham sido revistos. Neste livro, Eder Pires de Camargo analisa os saberes que professores do ensino médio devem mobilizar para incluir alunos com deficiência visual em atividades de ensino. Toma como exemplo a interessante experiência de uma disciplina de graduação – Prática de Ensino – na qual futuros licenciados estruturaram e implementaram novas práticas de ensino para turmas mistas. A originalidade e contribuição deste trabalho está em propor atividades desenvolvidas por futuros professores e avaliá-las durante os cursos de licenciatura.

Abstract

Com desenvoltura e conhecimento teórico aprofundado, Leonardo Fabio Martinéz Pérez percorre questões ligadas ao ensino de Ciências a partir de uma perspectiva histórica e crítica do próprio conhecimento científico. Este livro, que apresenta muito mais que aspectos técnicos, é resultado do trabalho de profissionais e pesquisadores do campo da preservação documental e patrimonial da humanidade, que, no período de março a abril de 2010, reuniram-se intensamente em uma rede sociotécnica on-line.O primeiro capítulo discute o papel dos documentos na construção da memória social; o segundo apresenta um estudo sobre aspectos interdisciplinares da preservação; o terceiro, por sua vez, trata da temática da repetição e da diferença; o quarto capítulo considera o movimento da ciência em outras direções; o quinto aborda questões sobre a conscientização de manutenção dos acervos; os capítulos seguintes discorrem sobre grandezas físicas presentes em formas de degradação de acervos e reúnem elementos para provar que, sob certos cuidados, o papel pode ser consultado durante várias gerações.

Abstract

A review of research on “not-school” learning that investigates what is distinctive in the quality of learning in these settings.Schools do not define education, and they are not the only institutions in which learning takes place. After-school programs, music lessons, Scouts, summer camps, on-the-job training, and home activities all offer out-of-school educational experiences. In Learning at Not-School, Julian Sefton-Green explores studies and scholarly research on out-of-school learning, investigating just what it is that is distinctive about the quality of learning in these “not-school” settings.Sefton-Green focuses on those organizations and institutions that have developed parallel to public schooling and have emerged as complements, supplements, or attempts to remediate the alleged failures of schools. He reviews salient principles, landmark studies, and theoretical approaches to learning in not-school environments, reporting on the latest scholarship in the field. He examines studies of creative media production and considers ideas of “learning-to learn”-that relate to analyses of language and technology. And he considers other forms of in-formal learning—in the home and in leisure activities—in terms of not-school experiences. Where possible, he compares the findings of US-based studies with those of non-US-based studies, highlighting core conceptual issues and identifying what we often take for granted.Many not-school organizations and institutions set out to be different from schools, embodying different conceptions of community and educational values. Sefton-Green's careful consideration of these learning environments in pedagogical terms offers a crucial way to understand how they work.

Abstract

Education in Asia Pacific countries is being transformed by globalisation and the market economy. Most economies within the region have flourished due to increased regional capital flow, trade and other forms of economic and political interaction. The Asia Pacific also has rich and unique traditions, which create cultural diversity as well as common challenges, including obstacles of language and geographical separation.
