Wer sind die Helden und Denker in Pädagogik und Erziehungswissenschaft, wer ihre Heldinnen und Denkerinnen? Welche Personen werden in den Nachschlagewerken der Disziplin – in ihren Wissensspeichern – mit eigenem Lemma vorgestellt? Welche Konjunkturen und Kanonisierungsprozesse lassen sich beobachten? Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Personenlemmata in allen 29 deutschsprachigen, alphabetisch sortierten, allgemeinpädagogischen Fachlexika bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. In einem quantitativen Teil analysiert sie systematisch-vergleichend die Lexika und ihre Personenlemmata nach verschiedenen Kategorien. In einem qualitativen Teil werden für vier Personen – Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher, Wilhelm Rein und Helene Lange – sowie die Gruppe der ersten in Lexika genannten Frauen Wandel und Kontinuität in der lexikografischen Rezeption und Darstellung vertieft analysiert. Die Arbeit bietet eine Rekonstruktion des Wissens über Personen in den historischen Nachschlagewerken der Disziplin und Anschlussmöglichkeiten für aktuelle Forschung.

Le vaste territoire de la Polynésie Française compte sept langues distinctes – tahitien, austral, rapa, mangarévien, marquisien du nord, marquisien du sud, pa’umotu – dotées à leur tour d’une forte variation interne. Fruit de dix ans de collaboration entre deux linguistes du CNRS, Jean-Michel Charpentier et Alexandre François, l’Atlas Linguistique de la Polynésie Française rend hommage à ce riche paysage linguistique et dialectal en documentant minutieusement vingt parlers différents du territoire, à l’aide de plus de 2250 cartes. The fruit of ten years of joint work by two linguists of French CNRS, Jean-Michel Charpentier and Alexandre François, the Linguistic Atlas of French Polynesia pays tribute to the rich linguistic landscape of the country by documenting thoroughly twenty different communalects, in the form of 2250 maps. Organised by topics (body, life, individual and society, culture and technology, flora and fauna), these lexical maps are supplemented by explanatory notes and indexes in French, English, Tahitian. Text chapters in French and English present the social profile and the historical dynamics of the territory’s languages, which are all endangered to various extents. LexArt. Words for Painting is a dictionary of terms and concepts used by the painters and theorists to describe both practice and theory in France, Germany, England and the Netherlands in the 17th and 18th centuries. The purpose is to highlight the stakes of the usages of these words and concepts in different chronological and geographical contexts. 77 essays cover nearly 250 concepts. The entries, appearing in traditional alphabetical order, outline the boundaries of a new reading of the painting as seen through the eye of the painter as well as through the eye of the spectator. Indeed, the "speaking painting" not only invites the spectator into the painter's studio to show how the painting is done, but introduces him to the painting itself, indicating what to see and how to see.

The Russian-German dictionary by Pawlowsky, which first appeared in Riga in 1859, is a little-noticed in Slavic jewel so far. This is astonishing precisely because it is an indispensable tool in reading the Russian classics, its bilingualism is authentic and quite reliable down to scientific nomenclature and also not only records but also explains a great deal of idiomatic and probiotic. The aim of this work is to contribute to the history of Russian-German lexicography through a metalexographic single analysis of this work. The centuries-old disinterest in the results of lexicographical work also explains that Ivan Pawlowsky's Russian-German dictionary, to this day, must be considered terra incognita. LexArt. The words of painting is a dictionary of terms and concepts, which, from the artistic literature, in a synchronous approach of discourse and artistic practice, describe the painting as it is practiced in France, Germany, England and the Netherlands in the 17th and 18th centuries. These writings constitute the mental, intellectual and visual universe, which makes it possible to better apprehend the work of art, and shape the eye to better see. The purpose of this book is to highlight the stakes of uses resituated in different contexts in time and space, in a confrontation of ways of thinking, painting and watching. Seventy-seven essays address nearly two hundred and fifty notions. The articles respond to each other, and form an ensemble which, behind the alphabetical order of the dictionary, draws the contours of a new reading of the painting seen through the eye of the painter and the eye of the spectator. Indeed, the "speaking painting" does not only introduce the viewer into the painter's studio by showing him the "how to do", he introduces him into the painting itself, shows him what to see and how see.
