Abstract

From as early as the 1600s, Dutch scholars and scholarship have displayed a keen interest in the studies of the Islamic world. Over the centuries, they have collected a wealth of source texts in various languages, Turkish texts being prominent among them. The present catalogue is the fourth and final volume in a series that covers the Turkish manuscripts preserved in public libraries and museums in the Netherlands. The volume gives a detailed description of Turkish manuscripts in minor Dutch collections, found in libraries and museums in Amsterdam, Groningen, The Hague, Leiden, Rotterdam and Utrecht, which hitherto have received little or no attention.

Abstract

This work presents an efficient solution procedure for the elastohydrodynamic (EHD) contact problem considering structural dynamics. The contact bodies are modeled using reduced finite element models. Singly diagonal implicit Runge-Kutta (SDIRK) methods are used for adaptive time integration. The structural model is coupled with the nonlinear Reynolds Equation using a monolithic coupling approach. Finally, a reduced order model of the complete nonlinear coupled problem is constructed.

Abstract

In this work, novel methods are introduced for characterizing the thermal and electrochemical behavior of lithium ion cells. Based on these methods a modeling approach is introduced which allows for the discreet description of four separate domains (both static and dynamic electrochemical and thermal behaviors). The adaption to a wide variety of electrode materials, scalable accuracy and fully automatable parameterization are made possible by the strict separation of model domains.
