Abstract

In the work presented here, (...) the real weight, the frequency of use of the temporal functions, which are inseparable from the temporal functions, are the center of interest in certain environments. In the core parts of the work on journalistic, everyday language and dramatic, narrative, administrative and scientific types of text essential questions for the representation of the aspect-tense functions are answered. New problems, which arise only from the question and have not been addressed in the literature, will be followed, especially the expectability of certain forms and functions in the course of the text.

Abstract

In this monograph an attempt is made to elucidate and systematize selected intertextual references in the prose book of Anton Čechovs with the help of concepts, categories and models developed in the field of intertextuality theory. It is not only about the determination of new texts, but sometimes primarily about a more sophisticated investigation of the intertextual signals, which are questioned on their specific position, form and function in the structure of the text. In this way, a more precise intertextual analysis of individual prose works by Čechov is suggested. Based on the study of some early short stories, we first discuss such types of second-degree texts, such as affirmative imitations, parodies, and counterfactures. This reveals an alternative to the predominantly parodic intertextuality of the early Čechov. Finally, attention is drawn to the varieties of fictional literary reception in the later work of Čechov.

Abstract

In the present monograph the author tries to get to the bottom of the traditional view that in Bulgarian there is a morphological category with the meaning 'rendering of foreign speech', called renarrative. However, the analysis of the formative-meaning relationship has shown that neither the given paradigm has this meaning nor does the expression of the corresponding concept necessitate the application of the forms, but rather the explication of the meaning 'renarrative' as well as that of the so-called admirativ u.a.m. only at the level of expression. The forms under discussion are one building block next to another, which has the semantic invariant 'state constancy' as its content and merges into the morphological category 'Tempus' as a perfect and / or pluperfect (variant). Apart from the discussion of the term 'mode', the origin of this mode of expression as well as the position of Bulgarian are examined in detail from a typological point of view.
